Welcome to the Durant Motors Automobile Club
William C. “Billy” Durant founded General Motors, lost it twice, and in 1921 started over with Durant Motors. For a decade its factories in Lansing, Elizabeth, Oakland, Leaside and Muncie built Durant, Star, Rugby, Flint, Frontenac, Locomobile and DeVaux cars for the world.
Our club keeps those cars on the road and their story alive. Whether you own one, are restoring one, or are simply curious, you are welcome here.

Next event: 2027 National Meet, Eureka, California
Expected in September 2027; exact dates and times to be determined. More information coming soon. In the meantime, see the photos from the 2026 meet in Joliet.

Hear Billy Durant
On New Year’s Eve 1931 Billy Durant recorded a three-minute greeting on an aluminum disc. Rediscovered decades later, it was played at his 1996 Business Hall of Fame induction. Press play to hear the man himself.
