Western Regional Meet 2004

The DMAC Western Regional Meet was held June 28 to July 1, 2004, in Hood River, Oregon. The first set of photographs was taken by Stephen Aldrich and the second by Lance Haynes.

Steve’s photos from the first day were taken on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge: some beautiful cars among some beautiful scenery. A few of the group were dressed in period style, and at lunch that day several people in the restaurant asked if they could take pictures of those “in costume”.

Lance’s photos show the group in the hospitality suite, Mike running his drivers’ meeting, and the cars, along with club singers George Trollman and Beth Haynes singing “I Want to Drive a Durant”. George Trollman received a sanded wood spoke from a 1925 Star for the Hard Luck award, and Bruce a brass worker’s ID tag, as both of their cars were trailered twice. The first place trophy went to Ross Hoevet for his 1930 Durant 614 coupe in two-tone green and black. There are also pictures of a historic old hotel and of the cars up on a lookout.
