Members of the DMAC were invited to bring their Durant cars to Flint, Michigan for the August 2010 Back to the Bricks meet. In 2009 the event drew 250,000 spectators and 25,000 cars. The organizers wanted Durants because The Durant hotel was reopening: its first two floors were restored as a lobby and meeting room and the other six floors turned into lofts. They saved the area in front of The Durant for the club, which is welcome to park there for any Back to the Bricks event, and invited members back in September for the grand opening of The Durant.
